ModulesTrip Options

A trip option is one priced version of a trip. Example: the same customer might compare a 7-day cultural tour and a 10-day adventure - each is a separate option with its own itinerary, costing, and quote.

What you can do

  • Create multiple options per trip
  • Mark one option as the default for quick access
  • Set travel dates when the customer confirms (optional during early proposal)
  • Duplicate an option to create a variant without losing the original
  • Track option status: draft → offered → confirmed (or cancelled)

Statuses

StatusMeaning
DraftEditable itinerary and costing
OfferedPrice frozen as a quotation snapshot; content locked
ConfirmedCustomer chose this option
CancelledOption withdrawn

Only draft options can be edited. Use Offer, Reopen to draft, Confirm, and Cancel option (approval workflows may apply).

How to work with options

  1. 1

Open a trip from the Trips list.

  2. 2

On the trip detail page, see all options for that engagement.

  3. 3

Click New option or Duplicate on an existing one.

  4. 4

Open the Trip Editor to build days, itinerary, and costing while the option is draft.

  5. 5

When ready, Offer the option — this creates/submits a quotation snapshot and locks editing.

  6. 6

When the customer chooses, Confirm the option (or Reopen to draft to revise, or Cancel option).

Tips

  • Duplicate when options share most of the same route - change only what differs.
  • Travel dates live on the option, not on individual days.
  • After you Offer, reopen to draft to change prices — that cancels the frozen quotation (and unpaid invoice if any).
