ModulesAccountingPayment Ledger

The Payment Ledger page shows who owes you (accounts receivable) and who you owe (accounts payable) - summary outstanding per customer and supplier, not a transaction list.

Open Accounting → Payment Ledger.

Accounts receivable

Lists each customer with their current outstanding balance (unpaid sales invoices minus receipts).

Click a customer to open Payment Ledger Entries filtered to that party.

Use this for:

  • Collections follow-up
  • Checking if a customer can book another trip on credit
  • Reconciling before month-end

Accounts payable

Lists each supplier with outstanding payables (unpaid purchase invoices minus payments made).

Click a supplier to see their transaction history.

Use this for:

  • Planning supplier payment runs
  • Verifying what is due before bank transfers

How balances update

Outstanding changes when you:

  1. Submit a sales or purchase invoice (increases AR/AP)
  2. Submit a payment allocated to invoices (decreases AR/AP)
  3. Cancel a submitted document (reverses the effect)

Draft documents do not affect outstanding.

  1. 1

Check Payment Ledger for open balances.

  2. 2

Create a Payment Entry (receive or pay).

  3. 3

Allocate to the relevant invoices and submit.

  4. 4

Refresh Payment Ledger to confirm balances cleared.

See Payment & ledger.
